Parish Children and Youth Services Planning Board
These statistics are
provided by the Louisiana Department of Education. The statistics
in this document are for the 2005-2006 Academic Year and represent the
most current data available.
The CYS Board, through support of the Office of Youth Development,
contracted a team of consultants, who, with use of public forums, face
to face interviews with key leaders and stakeholders and community
feedback by email and phone, completed a needs assessment regarding
services for children, youth and young adults in the community. The
findings and recommendations are posted here for public knowledge.
The CYS Board, through support of the Office of Youth Development,
contracted an experienced community advocate who compiled a manual with
all biopsychosocial resources for children, youth and young adults in
the community. The medical, emotional, financial and educational
resources of the community are indexed and this information is
available to the public and is updated periodically.
